project
vienna, arrival city
'arrival city' — how can housing for newly arrived people be built quickly, affordably and with dignity? the study develops a modular system of compact units of around 25 m² each that combine flexibly for different household sizes — from a single apartment to a large family or shared flat.
module
the base module 'otto' always keeps the same size but can be fitted out differently inside. a single building block thus yields an entire typology — efficiently prefabricated and adaptable to each living situation.
city
woven into many units, the modules form a dense, permeable urban fabric: circulation, communal areas and open spaces interlock into an arrival city that can grow and change.
