in the middle of the family's company grounds, living and working merge into a single house. two entrances — one private, one for the business — open up areas that work on their own yet flow into one another: from office and storage to the open living-and-kitchen space.
two planted atria are set into the body of the building and create the privacy it needs — sheltered open spaces that draw light and green inside without opening outward. a spa courtyard extends the idea with its own intimate retreat.
the striking roof silhouette does not stay outside: through voids and a gallery level it becomes tangible indoors too, letting the rooms breathe upward. at the very top lies the sleeping area — the zone of greatest privacy, withdrawn above the busy ground floor.
a timber façade and exposed-concrete surfaces give the house its raw, precise character; a pellet system provides the heating and a cistern collects rainwater.
