kula
a completely recyclable sphere unfolds as if naturally in the landscape of iceland. the dwelling, which protects against the island's barren weather, sits on the grown ground and serves both inside and outside as a projection surface for iceland's landscape and cinematic world.
powered by the thermal energy of the environment, kúla is not only low-cost to manufacture, but also easy to transport and maintain using truck-sized modules and an inflatable shell — eventually fostering an immersive experience that leads you through the cinematic highlights of iceland.
its translucent etfe shell and ai-assisted design make kúla a prototype at the intersection of architecture, nature and technology.
