haus pro
a compact, clearly defined volume — conceived from the outset for low energy and resource use. the compactness is strategy, not an end in itself: little envelope, short paths, a calm body set precisely into its place.
at its heart stands a circulating core — a cube that bundles WC, services and ancillary rooms and activates the living space in a ring around it. the main rooms wrap around this middle, flowing together while gaining hold and structure from the core. above lie a generous studio together with children's and bedrooms; an adjoining workshop and hobby room add a working level of its own.
towards the south-west a planted pergola unfolds, taking on two roles: as a green climate buffer it tempers the summer sun in front of the living area, and as a connecting element it ties house, terrace and garden into one continuous outdoor space.
an air-source heat pump, a rainwater cistern and controlled domestic ventilation keep operation efficient; the partial timber façade gives the compact body a warm, natural surface.
